COHORT

Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 August 2026 · applies to the Cohort mobile game

Cohort does not collect your personal data, does not send anything from your device to us, and has no advertising or analytics of any kind.

What we collect

Nothing. The game contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter and no account system. It does not ask for an email address, a phone number, a social login, contacts, location, the camera, the microphone, or the photo library.

What is stored on your device

When you first open the game you choose a display name and an avatar. That choice, along with your progress, is written to your device's own app storage and stays there. It is not transmitted anywhere, and it is not readable by us or by anyone else.

Deleting the app removes this data. There is no copy held elsewhere to request, correct, or erase, because none was ever created.

Children

Because no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either. The game is safe to use under COPPA, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the GDPR's provisions on children's data — not through consent mechanisms, but because there is nothing to consent to.

Third parties

None. No data is shared, sold, or disclosed to anyone, and there are no third-party services embedded in the game that could collect data on their own.

The app store you downloaded the game from — Apple's App Store or Google Play — has its own privacy practices covering the download and any purchase. Those are governed by their policies, not by this one.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the CCPA and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection over personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to act on. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will investigate and answer.

If this changes

Online play and server-checked matches are planned. If a future version of the game sends anything from your device, this page will be updated before that version is released, the date at the top will change, and the privacy label on the app's store page will be updated to match. We will not quietly begin collecting data under a policy that says we do not.
